Metro - my 1st trip on it

I had very low expectations from the time Papa announced the trip on the metro. I was very tired and totally not in the mood for a bad experience. I even had a fight with Papa in the car. Mummy had to bear the wrath of our tempers. Only when Mummy strongly told us to handle our affairs, that we both calmed down. We both, Papa and I, have no choice but to give in when Mummy puts her foot down.

After that it was a smooth ride. I was in for a lot of happy surprises. We parked our car and got into Indiranagar Metro station. In the first look, it looked huge. There was an escalator that took us roughly 2 floors above, which I later got to know is called the “concourse”. It had the ticketing counter and the access doors for the platform. I loved the “coins” that they had for the tickets. You had to place them on the tray and then a door would open. Only one person could cross the door at one time. I then walked till the platform through another escalator. The platform was neat and clean, exactly like I had seen it in US and Paris, actually lesser crowded than even in US. The trains also came on time, I had to wait for 3 minutes before the train came.

I had a comfortable journey till the Hosahalli station. I was surprised to see Abhiram uncle and Aanya waiting for me in the car. They were very nice and I was very happy to see them. My next surprise was Ramya aunty making 5 dishes for me. She was very, very, very loving. We also played some games at Aanya’s house.

After having a great time with Aanya, Abhiram uncle and Ramya aunty, they even dropped us back to the station. We came via metro again but this time from a different station. I would recommend it to everyone to try it at least once. I would use it more often when it comes closer to my home.
